About Tyrion
Tyrion is a 14-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix and a beloved member of his family. A friendly, sweet senior dog, he is also a homebody who did not know the area outside his own yard.
Tyrion has low vision and low hearing, which made his case unusual from the start. A senior dog with limited senses, in unfamiliar territory, was expected to stay close to home and shelter in place. Instead, Tyrion covered ground few would have predicted, ultimately turning up across the river in Parkersburg, where two strangers stopped to help him.

Tyrion has been found safe. He was picked up by Good Samaritans on River Road in Parkersburg and brought to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, where he is waiting to be reunited with his family. After 10 days missing, a 14-year-old senior dog with low vision and low hearing has come home. Enormous gratitude to the strangers who stopped to help, to the Humane Society of Parkersburg for their support, and to every neighbor who shared, watched, and refused to give up. This is exactly how lost pets come home.

A reminder to neighbors in the 39th Street and Minibel Golf Course area: please check sheds, garages, crawl spaces, under decks, and any quiet sheltered locations on your property. Senior dogs with vision and hearing limitations often seek out enclosed, low-stimulus spaces and can remain in one spot for days. Any sighting, however small or uncertain, is worth reporting.
