Lady Rita Missing from Parkersburg WV.
Lady Rita
Lady Rita went missing on the evening of April 9, 2026 after chewing through a rope tie-out outside her home near the 1500 block of Wilbur Street in Parkersburg, WV. She was recovered 33 days later in the early morning hours of May 12, 2026 after a Vosker cellular trail camera detected her at a PSA remote feed station and sent an instant notification to her owner.
Lady Rita was very shy and skittish throughout the search and avoided human contact consistently, moving primarily in the early morning hours between midnight and 4 AM. Multiple confirmed sightings placed her working a defined corridor in the Southwood Park, Indiana Street, and Delaware Street neighborhoods of Parkersburg. A humane Missy trap was deployed in the corridor but was not needed. Her owner approached calmly after receiving the camera alert, Lady Rita recognized her voice, and came to her on her own terms.
This case was resolved through a combination of community tip reporting, Vosker cellular camera monitoring, a remote feed station, road signage, and the willingness of a local homeowner to allow a camera to be placed on her property. That single act of generosity proved to be the pivotal moment in bringing Lady Rita home.
