Tom Sherman – Founder Profile

Founder & National Director of Operations and Training

Pet Search Alliance

Tom Sherman brings a powerful combination of business leadership, public service, and tactical fieldwork to his role as the founder of Pet Search Alliance. After building and selling his successful cleaning franchise, Professional Carpet Systems, Tom relocated to Marietta, Ohio, where he launched MOV Drone Workz, a drone-based photo and video company. What started as creative marketing work quickly shifted into life-saving missions when families began calling on him to help locate their missing pets.

Drawing on over 13 years of volunteer fire service and deep experience in search and rescue, Tom brought his operational mindset to pet recovery—blending drone tech, field coordination, and compassion into something new. Many of the families who reached out couldn’t afford professional help, but Tom stepped in anyway—because he could.

That’s when PSA was born.

With a background in franchising, technical marketing, SEO, and AI-driven tools, Tom now leads the effort to grow PSA into a national network. His goal: to equip teams across the country with ready-to-use SOPs, search gear blueprints, AI-enhanced tools, and training platforms. PSA’s next evolution includes building a custom app with a searchable database of active cases—filterable by name, city, or state—to support rescues at scale.

“We're creating a movement—one that empowers people, saves lives, and gives families hope when they need it most.”

Sarah Rollyson

National Treasurer & Director of Finance & Compliance
Founding Member – Pet Search Alliance

Sarah Rollyson is a lifelong animal lover, mother of two, and proud grandmother to four. Originally from the Mid-Ohio Valley, Sarah brings over a decade of hands-on rescue experience and deep-rooted compassion for animals in need. She currently shares her home with two rescue dogs—and has cared for as many as ten at one time.

Her journey into pet rescue began during her time working at the local Humane Society, where she quickly realized she could often do more on her own. After leaving the organization, Sarah began fostering, rescuing, and trapping lost dogs on her own time. One of her earliest efforts involved a red bloodhound roaming Mineral Wells, WV—an operation that led to the community fundraising for an oversized trap to safely capture the dog. That moment lit the fire for her continuing mission.

Today, Sarah is well known in the area for helping reunite lost dogs with their families and supporting strays in need of care. Her relationships with local shelters and her background in animal welfare make her an invaluable asset to PSA. In addition to her field experience, Sarah brings strong financial oversight and donor coordination skills to her national role, helping drive forward the mission with heart and accountability.
