MURPHY Waverly WV

Lost from Waverly WV
Murphy went missing around 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from the 1400 block of Copperhead Road in Waverly, West Virginia. She was playing in the yard and wandered off, which is not like her at all. She had never left the property before.
Her family describes her as very friendly, a little nervous around new people but not much. A dog this social can go one of two ways after a week on her own. She may have been taken in by someone who thinks she is a stray, or she may have shifted into survival mode and started avoiding people entirely. Both are possible, and we are working both.
If she has slipped into survival mode, the sweet dog in these photos may run from the same people she would normally greet. Do not judge whether a dog is Murphy by how friendly she acts. A tan and white bulldog type dog that will not let you near her is consistent with Murphy, not evidence against it.
If you have found, taken in, or seen a tan and white bulldog type dog anywhere around Waverly, Williamstown, or the Copperhead Road area since October 4, please call 740-206-8831. You do not need to be certain it is Murphy before you call. Collars can slip off and tags can be lost, so a dog with no collar may still be her.
If you have doorbell, security, or trail camera footage from the area, please check it from October 4 forward, including any clip you may have brushed off at the time. Reports can be made anonymously through the QR code below or at petsearchalliance.org.
