Lillie Belle went missing around midday on Saturday, August 2, 2026, from the 1200 block of Bethel Road in Marietta, Ohio. She was in the care of a temporary caregiver at the time, which matters more than it may sound. A dog separated from her normal household and routine is far more likely to travel rather than stay put, and less likely to return to a door she does not associate with home.

Her family describes her as friendly and gentle, a dog who will make a friend of anyone willing to share food. That food motivation is the single most useful detail in this case. It is what makes a feed station a realistic path to locating her, and it is the reason we ask the public not to hand feed her, coax her, or attempt to catch her. Feeding a loose dog by hand teaches her to move between houses instead of settling into one predictable spot where a camera can confirm her and a plan can be built around her.

Please also understand what time does to a friendly dog. Lillie Belle has now been out for more than three weeks. Dogs in that situation typically shift into an acute survival response, operating on instinct rather than personality. The sweet, sociable dog in these photos may now bolt from the same people she would have greeted in her own yard. Do not judge her identity by whether she acts friendly. If a cream colored dog with white on her head and an underbite will not let you near her, that is consistent with Lillie Belle, not evidence against it.

What helps: check outbuildings, barns, garages, crawl spaces, brush lines, and culverts on your property. Review any doorbell, security, or trail camera footage you have from the Bethel Road corridor and the wooded ground around it, including clips you may have dismissed at the time. If you see her, stop, note the exact spot and the direction she was headed, and call the number below. Sit down or turn sideways rather than walking toward her. Then let us bring the equipment to her.

Case remains active. Lillie Belle has now been missing for more than three weeks with no confirmed sightings reported to Pet Search Alliance. Public appeal expanded across the Bethel Road corridor and surrounding wooded ground. We are specifically asking residents to check outbuildings and brush lines and to review doorbell and trail camera footage from August 2 forward. Any sighting, even an uncertain one, should be reported to the hotline rather than posted publicly, so the team can verify it and respond without pushing her out of the area.
