Kasey is a 4-year-old female dog who went missing on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2026, from the 1000 block of Glendale Rd in Marietta. She was in the care of a family friend at the time, as her owner was away from home.
Kasey is fearful by nature and has a known history of separation anxiety. Her owner has had her for less than a year. She is not familiar with the North Hills neighborhood where she went missing, has no local anchor point, and is genuinely lost. Frightened dogs in unfamiliar terrain tend to tuck into quiet, covered spaces and stay there. They will not come when called, even by people they know.
For these reasons, please do not chase, call out to, or attempt to approach Kasey if you spot her. The most helpful thing anyone can do is note her exact location and direction of travel, then report it immediately so the search team can respond.
Pet Search Alliance Mid-Ohio Valley has had this case under active management since the morning after Kasey went missing. Two thermal drone searches have been flown over the North Hills neighborhood, including the woods behind the water tower off Dun-Wrentin Rd. Conditions on both flights, particularly the Saturday morning flight following overnight rain, were excellent for thermal contrast. Neither flight produced a confirmed sighting, which strongly suggests Kasey is tucked under cover in a porch, deck, shed, garage, crawl space, or similar shielded location.
Two humane traps and feeding stations are currently active in the search area, monitored 24/7 by Vosker cellular trail cameras that send real-time alerts the moment any animal enters the frame. Yard signs are now being placed throughout the North Hills neighborhood to keep this case in front of residents and drivers passing through.
A possible sighting was reported on Tuesday, April 28 near the water tower at Dun-Wrentin Rd and Glendale Rd. The owner conducted a quiet ground search of the area and a drone was placed on standby, but no visual contact was made and Kasey has remained elusive since.
