About Kasey
Kasey is a 4-year-old female dog who went missing on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2026, from the 1000 block of Glendale Rd in Marietta. She was in the care of a family friend at the time, as her owner was away from home.
Kasey is fearful by nature and has a known history of separation anxiety. Her owner has had her for less than a year. She was not familiar with the North Hills neighborhood where she went missing, had no local anchor point, and was genuinely lost. Throughout the search, the case profile pointed strongly toward an animal that would tuck into quiet, covered spaces and avoid all human contact, which proved to be exactly the case.
Search Efforts & Recovery
Pet Search Alliance Mid-Ohio Valley managed this case actively from the morning after Kasey went missing through her recovery on day 12. The search included two thermal drone flights over the North Hills neighborhood, two humane traps and feeding stations on site monitored 24/7 by Vosker cellular trail cameras, yard signs distributed throughout the neighborhood, and continuous public outreach through Facebook and the PSA tip line.
The break in the case came on the evening of May 4, when a critical tip confirmed Kasey's location. MOV Drone Workz launched air support and from a high observation altitude where she could not detect the drone, the team observed her quietly for approximately 90 minutes. Footage confirmed she was extremely skittish, jerking and darting at the slightest sound, which informed the entire recovery plan.
Kasey approached the conventional box trap three times overnight but was too shy to fully commit. With that behavior data in hand, PSA dispatched the Custom Built Smart Missy Trap with remote trigger early on May 5. The trap was set by 9 AM. By 10:55 AM, Kasey was secured safely and on her way home.

A humane trap triggered overnight, but the visitor was a healthy, uncollared cat rather than Kasey. The cat was released safely. Feeding stations and humane traps remain in place at the search site with Vosker cellular trail cameras continuing to monitor 24/7.

Second thermal drone search flown over the Colegate Drive and Cisler Drive area. Overnight rain produced excellent thermal conditions, allowing the team to rule out large sections of woods, fields, and yards with high confidence. Despite ideal conditions, no sign of Kasey on the flight. The team strongly suspected she was tucked onto a porch, patio, under a deck, or in a shed, garage, or crawl space somewhere in the area. A humane trap was set on site and Vosker cellular trail cameras began monitoring 24/7.
