Mid-Ohio Valley Coyote Awareness: Pet Safety Measures
In one of our recent thermal scans, two coyotes were spotted standing over the remains of a deer along a tree line. The scene was a reminder that coyotes are skilled predators and opportunistic feeders. When natural food sources like deer or small game run short, they look for easier meals — including unattended pets or outdoor food scraps left around homes.
