Finding Fluffy
Missing Dog – RECOVERED SAFELY
Final Update: February 2, 2026 | Approx. 5:40 PM
Fluffy has been FOUND and is SAFE.
After over six days missing, Fluffy was successfully recovered on the evening of Sunday, February 2, 2026, following a surge of coordinated community sightings and rapid response by the Pet Search Alliance team.
Fluffy originally went missing on the evening of Monday, January 26, 2026, from the North Hills subdivision in Parkersburg, West Virginia, near Brentwood Drive.
Recovery Summary
Beginning around 4:30 PM on February 2, Pet Search Alliance began receiving multiple, overlapping sighting reports from the same general area. These real-time confirmations helped narrow Fluffy’s location quickly.
One of our team members, Leah, was able to safely secure Fluffy. He was transported to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, where he arrived safe and unharmed.
In a remarkable full-circle moment, Fluffy’s sibling, Happy—who had previously been recovered through coordinated trapping and monitoring—was also involved in helping bring Fluffy to safety.
This outcome highlights the importance of:
• Calm, accurate reporting
• Community cooperation
• Patience and restraint
• Proper use of humane trapping and monitoring tools
Search Efforts That Led to Recovery
Throughout the search, the following resources were deployed:
• A thermal drone search in areas of activity
• Multiple humane traps placed strategically
• Five cellular trail cameras monitoring key locations
• Ongoing analysis of movement patterns and reported sightings
Search focus shifted dynamically based on credible reports, including activity along the Route 77 / Williamstown corridor and surrounding residential areas.
Community Appreciation
This recovery was only possible because neighbors, volunteers, and local partners worked together and followed guidance:
• No chasing
• No calling out
• Observation from a distance only
Calm heads prevailed, and Fluffy is now safe because of it.
