Buddy has been missing since December 13, 2025 at approximately 12:00 AM from the area of 1902 23rd Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia.

As of December 14, Buddy has been missing for approximately 35 hours.

Dog Description

Buddy is a 7-year-old male tan miniature long-haired dachshund.

He is small in size and easily overlooked.

  • Tan coloring

  • Long-haired coat

  • Male, intact

  • No collar

  • Not microchipped

  • Not dragging a leash or cable

Medical Alert

Buddy requires anti-seizure medication.

Without this medication, Buddy is at risk of experiencing seizures.

This significantly increases the urgency of his safe return.

Behavior Notes

Buddy is described as skittish and may be frightened.

If approached, he may flee or hide rather than come when called.

Do not chase or call out if you see Buddy.

Chasing can push him farther from safety.

Instead, observe quietly and report what you see.

Area & Conditions

Buddy went missing from a residential neighborhood in Parkersburg.

The area received approximately 4 inches of snow overnight, which may be impacting scent trails and visible tracks.

Small dogs often:

  • Stay very close to where they were last seen

  • Are picked up by well-meaning individuals

Search Update

As of the morning of December 14, a drone and ground search was conducted with no confirmed sightings.

One unconfirmed report mentioned someone carrying a small tan dog a few streets over. This sighting has not been verified and may or may not be related, but it remains under consideration as the search continues.
